Here’s a 2 month follow-up (Read below my initial comments)
Bought this to replace our10 year old grill pan. The Calphalon arrived well packed in a nice package. It looks exactly as advertised. The handle is sturdy and smooth - fits well in my hand. Our old grill pan had a very low profile lip. This one has a nice tall rim to help catch/retain grease. I made bacon in it this morning. My wife commented that it’s a nice weight - not too heavy as compared to our old one. It looks and feels well made. If there was only one comment I could make it’s that I would’ve preferred there be a couple more grill ridges. Our old grill pan made lots of nice parallel grill marks on things like a grilled cheese sandwich. There are just a couple fewer grill bumps on this new Calphalon pan It’s really not a big deal. We’re very pleased with our purchaseFollow-Up ReviewWe’ve been using this pan for over two months. It may just be a griddle pan but I have to tell you, we are VERY pleased with it. The coating is awesome. No scratches. Nothing sticks to it...Nothing ! This pan cleans up very easily and looks like brand new. It’s very well made. Solid and comfortable handle. Even while cooking bacon this morning I noticed that 75% of the handle was actually cool to the touch - near the pan and burner it was warm (or course). I highly recommend this griddle pan.

Always consistent
I always fall back on Calphalon for my every day cookware. After almost 20 years, my last Calphalon dutch oven finally started to get too scratched up on the bottom to justify keeping it around. I like the new design and it feels sturdy and well-built. Good addition to my collection. I only gave it 4 stars because it is quite heavy. This was not a deal breaker to me, but I wanted to point that out to anyone who may have problems handling heavy cookware.

Best pot ever!
I almost did not purchase the Calphalon Premier pot because of the price. Then, I decided that I was tired of buying pots where the inside coating would chip and bubble fairly quickly. I love this pot. It cleans easier than any teflon coated pan I've owned. The food doesn't stick to the bottom like other pans, when cooking thick sauced recipes. It is heavier and took a little bit to learn what temperature is best for each recipe. Once I figured out the right cooking temperatures, cooking with this pot is wonderful!

Not Happy with Lid
The 2 quart sauce pan is very nice with one exception: the lid. I found that water gets trapped in the grooved area between the glass and the metal rim on the lid. I tried shaking it but couldn't get it all out. Apparently this juncture does not have an adequate water-tight seal. Had to return it.

This Calphalon Pot is a Failure!
I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with this product. It's supposed to be the top of the line, but after using it twice and once in the dishwasher, it's filled with scratch marks. My return deadline was March 13,which is in the middle of the coronavirus. I use only scratch resistant cooking utensils. I've purchased calphalon from Williams Sonoma recently and had no issues. I have photos of all the scratches, but there's no option to load them.

Takes Anything You Can Throw At It.
I thought the Calphalon cooker was toast after the burner was left on til midnight with a load of thick chicken soup. Nope the clean up was very easy and it still looks and performs like it's brand new. Being rather costly I don't understand why the thickness isn't any better than the non-stick pans that you can find in the box stores at one third the price. That's why I only gave it 4 stars.

not for weak wrists
Rather heavy. Top of pan is 8 1/4 inches. Base is about 5 1/2 inches. Bummer for me because the heating area at its base is really small. If I try cooking with it on a large burner the heat goes up the sides where I don't want it. If I use it on a medium or small burner, the time to heat up is long because it's tall. Because the sides are tapered down at such a strong angle, I will be using this as a secondary pot. I struggled to find a review on this 4.5 and there were nearly none. At a price of 120.00, I was expecting something a bit more usable. If I were to have seen it firsthand, or with an honest review (that wasn't removed), I may not have purchased it. I wonder why no reviewers posted images of this...

100% satisfied with my 3rd Calphalon
Very happy with this 6-qt. Calphalon Premier Dutch Oven. My third Calphalon over the years, used only wooden tools, and they lasted a long time. My previous 2 Dutch Ovens were only 3 qts., and this larger one is even more useful--for baking large loaves of bread, big batches of chili, for instance.
