This story is pretty good. Must have been one of her earlier ones because it's not quite as good as some of the others. The flow isn't as smooth as some of our other books.

Children's book for Midsummer
Lovely children's book to teach little ones about midsummer and the different types of flowers. Beautiful illustrations in a more classical style. Highly recommend. It is more appropriate as a book that is read to children due to the difficult flower names.

Small but serves it purpose
It’s a small book. I don’t mind the size. It isn’t a quality keepsake book. But it serves its purpose. Only half of the illustrations are in color. I believe the illustrations have been altered to fit the vertical layout of the book.

Just lovely. I wish I hadn't gotten the mini version, though! I didn't notice that. The illustration deserve full-scale.

Four Stars
Great story and drawings, of course if they're Elsa.

The illustrations are beautiful, like all of the author's other books
The illustrations are beautiful, like all of the author's other books. The reading level was just too high for my kids! (Preschool) we made it through many of her other books (Princess Sylvie, Peter in Blueberry land, etc), but this one just had too many words. Also, this is a small version of this book, so compounded with allllll those words, the illustrations are teeny!

Eh
I saw several posts mentioning how sweet this book is and I thought it was going to be more geared toward children. This book is TINY and very wordy. The pictures are precious, but it is hard to read, and frankly, the story line kind of sucks. I would have probably given this book 5 stars had it been bigger and way less wordy. The pictures are about the only thing going for it.

Amazing book if you omit three pages
The book is wonderful, my daughter's first pick every night, she (and me now, too) knows all the names of all the flowers, which one's which and where they grow. Very educational and sweet book. BUT there are three pages of it towards the end that we always skip, because they are really mean to weeds, as if they are undeserving rubble in the world of pretty flowers. I would have preferred if the story was teaching how all the plants in the world are important and have their own place an meaning.

A lovely story about the flowers in our gardens!
A dear little book which my daughter adores - it’s really helped her to identify the different flowers in bloom all around us at this time of year too! Gorgeous illustrations as always...
