Had to send this item back unfortunately. The stone seems good quality and the stand was nice but you can buy just the stone and stand for a vast amount cheaper. I wanted to pay the extra for the set but its not a set, its two seperate items and they do not fit together as a neat stack as shown in the images. The strop is a lot bugger than the stone and its bamboo base is an entirely different colour from the stone's base. Its no different to just standing any strop on top of any unmatching stone.Also note that the strop has no suede side which makes it pointless to me, thats what I mostly wish to use. I assumed it would have had both but it doesn't, the bottom of the strop board is rubber. I can see that in the images now I look but considering most strop boards seem to offer both sides of the leather I am surprised this set doesn't. For the money I'd expect a complete set.Given that I'd have to buy another strop for the suede and that this isn't a nice matching set anyway, I will be buying this same stone but a different strop as seperate items and save myself a lot of money.

Very good would recommend it

The stone has no made a single difference in the edge of my chef's knife despite using the angle guide. The "guides" provided can at best be described as infographics. Save your money, and get your knives professionally sharpened.

People that give bad reviews are novices. I have never sharpened before either but all my knifes are now razor sharp. It's all in the hand.
