Tell everyone and their Mum
Never felt so compelled to write a review before. This piece of kit is so effective and works just like the professional steamers I used to use working in luxury department stores! My colleague at work told me about it, and for the amazing price, I was shocked at how powerful this little thing is. My husband absolutely loves it for his shirts in the morning, too. Heats up within seconds and removes creases perfectly. Couldn't be happier. Even convinced my mum to get one too, and she has since been loving it also! Do not waste your money on anything more expensive, this is the one you want!!

Works really well, just a couple of downsides
Edit: After writing the below review, I ordered a well known brand steamer that had the things I was looking for. It was awful! Sent back, and I decided to keep this one. Functionality of this is really good, I can manage without the little things that I mentioned! (P.s. ⚠️ the heat glove doesn't work! I burnt my hand through it, so PLEASE BE CAREFUL)Original review: Looking for a steamer for my clothes selling sideline. I thought I'd give this one a go as it looks relatively easy ( & is in my favourite colour 😋)It comes with a couple of really handy attachments; a mesh cover (for more diffused steam I think?), the wire is long & has a rubber cable tie attached for ease of tidying, which I loved when I saw. It comes with a travel bag & heat glove too for use when an item is hanging up while you use it. It works well! Heats quickly, removes creases very well & releases steam as expectedI have a couple of issues with his particular one though;- as soon as you plug it in & turn the plug switch on, it starts heating - there isn't an on/off button on the item itself, so you have to turn the plug off to stop it heating• it takes a long time to cool down before you can put it away, so it's sat on the side for a while before tidying away• it doesn't stand up 😫 - this is my main reason for returning & looking for a different modelAfter I tried this out, I was looking for somewhere to put it down where it wouldn't damage something which I was a bit paranoid about & realised that it woud be so helpful if it stood up, which a lot of other brands doIf those things don't bother you then this would be a great item for you, maybe a heat mat would solve the latter issue, but I personally would like a free standing one!

POWERFUL & FUN!
The media could not be loaded. I have avoided ironing most of my life by shaking out clothes and hanging well but one can't get away with it for every item of clothing. Consequently I have things hanging up fresh and almost ready to wear but not perfect enough to reach for. It's not that I am lazy, I keep a nice clean home but I am always on the go with building projects and design and can think of nothing worse than standing at an ironing table with a pile of laundry. However this afternoon I received this beautiful retro looking handheld steam iron that I've wanted and needed for so long. I got home from work and even before a cup of tea this came straight out of the box for me to test.I filled the handle compartment with water, turned it on and it took seconds to heat up from flashing red to flashing green. This means iron is hot and ready to use. Press the flashing green button once and the green stays on. This means steam is on.I went gingerly at first, four inches away from a shirt that was hanging up because I didn't want to burn anything. This didn't get rid of any creases. It wasn't until I held the iron up close lightly touching the fabric that I could see the creases falling away. I needed to hold the garment from behind so I put the silver glove on provided. This was useless as the heat of the iron went through the glove immediately so be careful. I couldn't grip the edge of the shirt with the glove on and you need to be able to hold parts of the garment up and out to provide a flat area for the steam to work on. I have now thrown the thin oven glove away.Prior to this I purchased a small table top ironing pad that can be easily folded away. I laid the garment down to see how the iron performed on contact with the steam on. Well oh my goodness a quick light touch and the crease was gone! No big iron I have ever used did that! This steam iron has some weight to it but by no means heavy.I decided to do another garment in my bedroom. I laid the ironing pad down on my bed and proceeded to steam iron eight garments including a silk shirt, a semi sheer blouse, some cotton shirt dresses. Honestly a brief light squiggle is all that is needed. Because the iron face is small it can fit between buttons and you can spot iron in small areas wherever is needed. So much better, easier and quicker than a conventional iron. The steam only lasts one side of a shirt before you have to fill the compartment again, but that is probably because I find the steam so effective that I leave it on. Ironing without the steam takes longer and not so workable. If you are like me and prefer light yet quality work similar to using a stick hoover verses a showoff heavy bulky dyson that takes a lot of sweat to lug around between floors, or a small yet powerful foldable travel hairdryer as opposed to a big heavy professional one that makes your arm ache because you have a lot of hair to dry then you will not go wrong with this purchase.I am going to Spain soon after the project and this is going in the pouch bag that comes with it and on holiday with me. I'm only booked for a bag under the seat so I will be stuffing some clothes in. This is going to be so ideal! Also the product looks good and is truly amazing and I love ironing now!

No longer destined for a life of creased curtains!
Both myself and my other half were skeptical about this little device but I caved and bought it. We have 2x large windows with thick curtains - I'd tried various things but couldn't easily get the creases out. After a bit of time with this though, creases gone!Things to note:I used de-ionised water because we live in a hard water area - didn't want to bung it up with scale. The cable isn't the longest, but that's what extension leads are for.The water tank isn't massive - had to refill a couple of time per set of curtains - but if it were any bigger the steamer would be heavy and unwieldy. The refill hole is quite small - I'd recommend using a little funnel if you have one.Nicely packaged. Steamer itself seems quite sturdy and well made. It's not too heavy, OK to control one handed.Works OK on shirts - not as good as ironing as you can't press them with this - but if you need to spruce one up in a hurry out of the wardrobe then it'd be excellent.I've even used it to successfully get indentations out of the carpet!Recommended - and invest in some deionised water to prevent scale build up!

Faulty and not durable
Only used this on 2 or 3 occasions, and tried to use recently and it’s not working (a lot of sound and no steam). Appears to be cheaply made and whilst it’s cheap to buy, it’s not value for money. Better to buy something of higher quality.

Great but didn’t last long
I loved this steamer but unfortunately after 1.5 years it has broken. It started to spit water out making it unsafe to use.
