Works...kinda
Bought it for the HF100 and used it twice so far. Allegedly it works for two hours - I find I get about 90-100 minutes before it tells me the power is low.I've seen this myself once. The camera says I have around 18 minutes left, then drops to 12, then to 6, then tells me to replace it, all within the space of a few seconds.Three stars because it works, it still exceeds the charge of an official Canon BP808, and it comes cheaper.-Update: Got a new, official BP 819 for Christmas - on the same camera it gets 160 minutes. Just for the sake of comparison.Another update: It wasn't just the camera. I replaced the HF100 with an HF M40, and it also couldn't reach a full charge on there. Might have been because I charged it off the camera(s) rather than a dedicated charger, but I'll never find out because I threw in the Wasabi for free when I sold off the HF100.

Fits well, and seems to be a good solution
The fit and finish were good. Came with a cover. The unit powered up and did not show any error messages. I have not had a chance to test battery life yet.

Best battery, great service
I was skeptical buying am off brand battery, but the reviews swayed me to try this out. It worked so well, I ended up buying a second.I have a Canon Vixia HF200 that I've used reliably for four years now, but the stock battery just doesn't last a full day out. I initially bought an off brand BP-808/809 when I bought the camera and while it worked, it didn't communicate the battery level and barely lasted more than 15-20 minutes. The thing sits on a shelf just in case, but I doubt I'll ever look at using that again. This battery says BP-819 and will fit any camera that takes it. In the Vixia, it sticks out about half an inch, but this is hardly noticeable when filming and certainly doesn't interfere with hitting the record button (my biggest concern). Unlike my first off brand battery, the wasabi actually communicates with the camera, giving an estimate of the remaining battery life with the current use. Best of all though, with normal use I get over 3 hours of power on a single charge. With two of these, I can spend a day out with the camera and not worry about running out of power. With the hour charge from the stock battery, I was constantly carrying the camera power cord with me. Now I feel like my camera is really portable! In addition, my first off brand battery came with a charger, including a car adapter. The wasabi works in the charger as well, whether plugged into the wall or the car, so I can charge one if I have the chance (or just forgot to plug in the camera) while I use the other battery. At this point I barely use the stock battery and only use the two wasabi.Blue Nook was great to deal with and had fast shipping and excellent communication. While I doubt I'll need another camcorder battery, I would definitely buy from them again.

Will not charge
I bought this for my Canon Vixia HF-S200. I've bought other Wasabi batteries in the past that worked fine. They charged normally and communicated with the camera to indicate state of charge. When this one arrived I put it in the camera and it indicated approximately 60% charged, so I plugged it into the charger. 8 hours later it was only at 65%. OK, maybe the battery needed to be cycled, so I used the camera for 30 minutes and the battery was flashing almost empty. I plugged the charger in overnight and in the morning it was still dead. I plugged in one of my old batteries to check the charger, and found it working normally. This new battery is a dud.

Very good product.
It works perfectly the only thing I would say is that it is not going to tell you the right amount of time left from your battery. On mine it lasts 2 minutes each minute. So if it says 120 minutes it is 240 minutes of battery. That's pretty good for $20. No complaints at all.

This battery works great in the Canon VIXIA HF M41
First off, yes this battery DOES have the microcontroller which talks to the Canon HF M41 camera, and allows for both in-camera charging, and realtime battery level/time remaining on the camera display.Second, the battery really is equivalent to the OEM in capacity. In my testing, I've been able to get well over 2.5 hours (165 minutes) of non-stop video recording, and the battery wasn't dead yet. This was recording at the highest bitrate, although I doubt that really has too much effect on the power consumption.I've only had the batteries for a couple of weeks, so I don't know how well they'll stand up over time, but so far all indications are that this is a quality product, equivalent to the OEM version. At less than 1/3 the price of the OEM batteries, it doesn't take a math genius to figure out that this is a good deal.

it worthless
After 3 months of use the battery died and no longer charge again, was a waste of money, don't buy it

Works great
works great with my Canon Vixia HF M30. I forget how much time it says it has but it is like 2-3 times the length of the battery that came with it.
