The motor on the lift is loud compared to before. It really isn't... It's just that I can hear the motor running now.I used these to replace those old metal rollers and what a difference. I don't have insulated doors (yet) so the garage door doesn't have enough mass to be super quiet but these have made such a big difference.Super easy to install. The very bottom ones will require you to have a plan of attack. The garage door I replaced on has side springs so I was able to replace those while the garage door was open with zero tension on the spring. I also bought new brackets for the bottom ones. The old brackets did not have tubes to hold these rollers. It was the style that just has tabs with holes.I did grease up everything in excess including those new bottom brackets with tubes. Then I wiped clean all the excess grease.If you've got no tension on the lift springs when open, this is an easy project.If you have a center overhead spring, you need to be careful and plan ahead. Have the proper tools to prevent damage and possibly physical harm messing around with the bottom brackets.

These are the best garage-door rollers and aren't much more expensive than second-tier products. There are so many reasons for a noisy garage door, though, that buying them can be a shot in the dark for DIYers. First make sure that the chain is properly adjusted (your owners manual or YouTube will tell you how; its quite simple and often solves the biggest problem), that the bolts holding the hinges to the door panels are tight, and that the rails are lubricated.If you still get loud rattles then good rollers will help. They should take away most of the rattles and turn the sound into more of a rolling noise.If you are concerned about the overall noise your garage makes and your opener uses an AC motor then the very first thing to do is to replace it with one using DC.One star off not because these are not fine products but because claims of huge noise reduction are overblown unless your problem happens to be the one they address.

Very easy to replace, sealed bearings. Be sure to watch videos on how to replace the bottom ones as they can be dangerous if you do it wrong. This is the first step in rehabbing my garage doors. I am pleased, and the blue color makes me happy for some reason. Would definitely recommend.

Pleasantly surprised. Quality is 5 Star even though these are pretty simple and mass produced. Ok, bought a house and the the “Flippers” installed the steel rollers in the wrong hinge positions. Note: your Rollers don’t go in the hinge joint. Anyways this inexperience lead to tweaking the rollers and wasting the ball bearings in less than a month or so. Bought these. Tuned up the track and hinges and installed the Rollers here. Holy cow! I can sneak out of the house and the little lady will never know I left. This garage door opens smoother than butter on a warm dinner roll. Supposedly good for 25k+ cycles verse the steel rollers that are way more expensive and JUNK. Don’t waste your money but those from the big box store. These are the bomb and even the big name garage door companies are using them in residential applications. Buy these! Awesome!

Great product, easy to install and very quiet. My only issue is that I needed 12 as I did not count correctly and there seems to be no way to just buy 2 rollers. I recommend this product buy double check your count first and don't forgot the rollers next to the ground.

These seem pretty well made and they are finished well. These are all easy to install, so there's not much to say there, but the metal shank is smooth, uniform and perfectly round; doesn't look cast, and there are no mold lines. The rollers are tough, and smooth. They were significantly quieter than the stock rollers they replaced. I gave all the hinges a quick lube, swapped the old rollers for these, and it was amazing how big a difference it made. The rollers seems to be holding up well, with none of them scarred up after heavy use so far. I would definitely buy these again if I needed a other set.

I have an 40+ year old wooden garage door. I bought these because the door is 200lbs and these are rated for 200lbs. Swapping out the steel rollers for the nylon made such a difference in the noise level. I'm ordering a 2nd set for my other door. In my case it didn't make it totally silent.. but it doesn't sound like someone is dragging a steel sled across my roof.
