Update Update: The seller did indeed provide me with a replacement for this item, although it's been a bit of a story. Bottom line: these folks are VERY "chatty" -- I've gotten quite a few emails asking how I liked it, can I update my review, etc. etc. etc. to the point of it being a bit annoying. I see their perspective and appreciate the value of good reviews, but there's a lot else in my life going on than testing a teapot THE FIRST SECOND after I get home from a trip.Due to supply issues, they also provided me with an upgrade to the 750ml version instead of the 500ml version that I ordered. The new teapot that I received is well constructed -- much stronger than the first one -- and does its job well. That said, I definitely like the 500ml version better. I find that the larger version does not circulate the tea as well, so it takes longer to steep than in the 500ml version. For a one-person use, the tea also ends up steeping for too long -- the infuser in the teapot has no way to stop the tea from steeping, and the cover can't be used without the infuser... so if you're sitting at your desk working while the tea steeps, then you pour out a cup (about half of the pot), the remainder of the tea continues to steep and can end up overdone/bitter by the time you're ready to drink it. I also find that I don't drink tea quickly enough for it to be warm by the time I get to the bottom of my second cup. So... if you're looking for a two-person pot, this should be great. For one person, get the 500ml.All told -- I'm leaving this review at 5 stars because I think it's a good product and I like the design, and because I appreciate that they stay on top of their customer service requests (even though it can be a bit overbearing from the perspective of the customer). They genuinely seem to care, and that's more than I can say about many on Amazon.---Update: after posting this review I was contacted by the seller, who offered a replacement and advised that they are working with the manufacturer to improve this issue. I am taking them up on their offer of a replacement, and am certainly impressed by their quick response! I'll update this again if all fails to go as planned... but for right now, 5 stars for great customer service.---This is a single-use teapot (makes about a teacup and a half, maybe two) and works well for its purpose. It’s certainly not sturdy, though — after about 5 uses I set it on the counter and the corner chipped clean off! It’s too bad, because I quite liked the rest of the design. Will be looking at other options for a replacement.

I LOVE this tea pot. It is perfect for a large one cup of tea - it will make a full 15 oz cup of tea with the infuser and tea leaves submersed. I love the square design as it looks pretty cool and different than standard round ones. Hopefully tea stains will not accumulate in the corners, but I'm giving it a quick whisk with a bottle brush after each use and so far it is sparkling clean. It is very sturdy but not heavy and the stainless steel/chrome lid, which fits snugly over top, and the SS infuser are great and easy to clean as well. The handle is slightly heavier glass than the pot and stays cool to the touch. And another plus is I've never spilled a drop of tea while pouring even with the lid on and infuser and leaves still in pot. The spout is perfect.I'm buying another one as a backup. Highly recommend.

I like this shape and the glass material used. It is looking cute and stylish for black tea or dark color tea severing. It enhanced dark tea's color.

I make about 5-8 pots of tea per day and have been using this pot for almost 2 months now. The infuser is really nice and easy to clean (dump the leaves, quick rinse). I have a bottle brush for quickly cleaning the pot. The infuser and lid get tea stained after a few days because my water is very hard, so I use a little vinegar and/or plain steel wool to scrub it up. I wondered if the square corners would be hard to clean, but they're not. The infuser is very fine; I've put a very finely ground tea in with no problems. However, it also lets the flavor through and drains quickly. The pot stays warm for a long time if full (like 45 minutes if I forget I made tea). I usually steep it for 5 minutes, then pour out a large mug full. This leaves about a half cup of tea in the pot, but it sits just below the infuser and doesn't oversteep. This way, I don't have to take the infuser out. The lid and infuser are a good fit, and the pot feels good in your hand. If you pour too fast, it can run down the side, but just pour slowly enough and it's all good. The only other problem I had is attempting a one-handed pour. The lid falls off at the very end. (But just, don't do that. Use two hands like a smart person.)

It is perfect in every way. The basket is deed enough to give the tea leaves room to bloom. The carafe makes enough tea for a 12 oz cup. The tea stays perfectly hot while steeping. The design is lovely and is an excellent addition to my tea collection. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Nice little pot but its very fragile. One corner got tapped against a wood cabinet while putting it away and it broke a hole in the pot.

I got a teapot like this for a gift a few years ago and I accidentally knocked it off the counter and it shattered. I was devastated!! But with a quick Amazon search I found the same one or a similar one at that. This little teapot is so perfect for a single large cup of tea. I use oolong tea with it personally but you can use any tea!I will say though that the glass gets stained even with rinsing and washing it right away but I’m sure there’s a way to clean that. Definitely recommend!

I think I am now fall in love with the shape of the glass teapot! I appreciate the beauty and quality of the product. Glass is slightly thicker than most. Important to note that it's easy to clean and the stainless steel comes off to clean. It's a very simple yet effective and fun way to make hot tea. Lightweight and beautiful.
